'Highwaymen' is an above average car thriller from director Robert Harmon. Instead of having a movie drenched in special effects, loud metal music and race car drivers, we have a very real and terrifying film about a serial murder whom drives his murder weapon. There is one film I kept comparing this to while watching, Joy Ride, a film starring Paul Walker and Steve Nahn about another killer who drives his weapon, which in the case was a mac truck. 'Highwaymen' succeeds on a few levels though, the story is well, certainly for a horror release like this, the car chases are real and best of all the film's cinematography is absoulutely stunning. To say that the films story is original would be a lie, there is a countless number of films which deal with a killer who uses their vehice to crash... |
