As a big fan of Arthurian legend, this kid-friendly take on the classic tale is pretty darn good. I especially liked Angus Imrie and Patrick Stewart as the young/old version of Merlin but most of the young cast did a great job in their roles. A great film for young and old alike.

The Kid Who Would Be King is a fantastic children's movie that largely slipped under the radar. For those who grew up watching the Sword in the Stone (me) or for adults who enjoy Arthurian legend (also me), this film is not mere children's fare. It's solid entertainment for the big kids watching it with their children - a rare accomplishment.

Enjoyable to watch. Made me wanna read the legend of King Arthur -again. I would like to believe that this is a successful attempt of modernizing a story everyone is familiar of.
