Weak, unconvincing and laughable

Lethargic action movie which attempts to do some justice to the Coast Guard, but provides nonsense and weak cliches at just about every turn; the finale is especially laughable when the guy is rescued and says a man stayed with him the entire time, meaning someone's spirit lives on to do the job. Gimme a break. Final Grade: D

This movie was a little predictable, but the actors didn't let that ruin their skills. Costner gave an awesome performance,(as usual), perfecting the mood and strength, while Kutcher gave us the ambition and angst. Combining all of those it was a very passionate and powerful look into the sacrafice of the Coast Guard. I totally reccomend it!
