Jack Carter (Stallone) discovers that his brother was murdered. He confronts Cyrus Paice (Rourke) for questioning. The light plot, unimpressive screenplay, eclectic camera angles and cut scenes and slow/scattered direction hampered the film's overall entertainment value. Even the ending felt rushed. Highlights were the performances of Stallone/Rourke, car chases and fight scene of Carter and Cyrus. This could have been better in so many ways, unfortunately Get Carter becomes a descent action flick in which some quality scenes doesn't make-up the boredom of the film's totally.

A throwback to more classic crime/action movies was a good idea, but I never really could get into Get Carter. I don't know if it was Stallone or just the story, but it never worked for me.
