Plot: A young woman in the small town of Spearfish receives a series of disturbing photographs featuring apparently dead and mutilated women. The police can't determine whether the photos are the work of a serial killer or just a sick joke, but she is convinced they are very real. The case catches the attention of a hotshot photographer from the same small town, he returns home determined to take advantage of this new inspiration not knowing it's the first step toward a messy ending. -- Chris Kavan

Lazy characters but a pretty disturbing story. Plenty of gore to go around but not so much to be too over-the-top. I still have a feeling it will appeal strictly to horror fans even with the semi-recognizable cast. Plus, it has the distinction of being the last film Wes Craven worked on (as executive producer) so, if nothing else, it's a decent send-off for one of the true masters of horror.
