Freddie (Cameron Diaz) is forced to marry Sam (Vincent D'Onofrio). Jjaks (Keanu Reeves) runs away with Freddie. A corrupt Detective, Ben Costikyan (Dan Aykroyd) has his personal motives. The humor wasn't that effective and the screenplay needed a few tweaking to make it interesting. The soundtrack was awful and acting were not convincing. Feeling Minnesota's premise of brotherhood, crime and dishonesty were not presented in a humorous way, this definitely was a dull picture for its genre.
