Seems to be a combination of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings but manages to be far less entertaining than either. The dragon looks pretty good but the plot is muddled and acting mediocre at best. |

What Eragon Movie? |

This movie is the biggest disaster I've ever seen! I read the book, but I guess the writers and director don't even know it exists. With the book apparantly a figment of my immagination now, I sat in my movie seat just like the rest of the crowd and watched. You know what happend after that? NOTHING! Biggest waste of time ever. I wish I would have been the writer/director, because then everyone would get their money's worth. Not only did I ask for my money back, but I also stood outside the theatre and stopped as many people as I could from going into see the next showing. The film should've been called ERAGON: PIECE OF BUTTF***ING S*** MOVIE! |

Ordinarily crappy |

The movie is nothing short of ordinary. Though it is fairly well filmed and the cinematography is nice, the acting and dialog falls short. The film is the first of three movies, that seem to be based largely on the Lord of The Rings, and bears a striking resemblance throughout the film. Though I love fantasy movies, I couldn't help but think that this movie is only suited for children and has few qualities that adults would enjoy. If Lord of the Rings is New Zealand, Eragon is New Jersey. |
