Plot Outline:

The revolves around a Master Chef Chef Chu (Sihung Lung) and her daughters Jia-Jen, the oldest one (Kuei-Mei Yang), a bitter Christian school teacher, Jia-Chien, the middle child who is career oriented (Chien-lien Wu), and Jia-Ning, the youngest (Yu-Wen Wang). Each one is concerned about their hard working father who hasn't remarried after their mother passed away for many years.

Mmmmm....just savor the ingredients and subtle flavors. It all combines to create a film that leaves you quite satisfied when you you come to its completion. The title is conveyed perfectly all the way through to the last two lines of dialogue.

"Eat, drink, man, woman. Basic human desires. Can't avoid them. All my life, that's all I've ever done. It pisses me off. Is that all their is to life? " A film that shows the early greatness from the skillful and detailed director's creativity and method of storytelling. The story is about Master Chef Chef Chu (Sihung Lung) and her daughters Jia-Jen, the oldest one (Kuei-Mei Yang), a bitter Christian school teacher, Jia-Chien, the middle child who is career oriented (Chien-lien Wu), and Jia-Ning, the youngest (Yu-Wen Wang).
