As far as I'm concerned, this is a very underrated movie. The best part of it is the little plot twist at the end. You're really not expecting it. |

This drama starts out strong with an engrossing story and interesting characters, but the final hour fizzles into a darker side with phony symbolism and some unnecessary violence; the performances by Edward Norton, David Morse, Rory Culkin and Evan Rachel Wood really help. Final Grade: C+ |

Edward Norton finds another great character going from aw-shucks, good 'ole boy to unhinged aw-shucks good 'old boy as the film rolls along. He works well with Evan Rachel Wood in a creepy romance kind of way. |

Norton and Wood do wonders on screen together. The plot is simple, but it works. I liked the relationship build and the end result, but it did kind of mis step at times. With an open mind, this film can be enjoyed. |
