I expected more from the minds behind Saw, but I guess I'm not the right audience for this type of horror film. It was atmospheric and felt more like the classic ghostly tales from older cinema. However, I found nothing to like except Donnie Walhberg and a small twist ending that is vaguely reminiscent of the one in the first Saw film. |

Sadly, the creative team from the original Saw movie are behind this languid, feeble horror movie about a killer force behind a bunch of ventriloquist dummies; the acting is limp, the dialogue is atrocious and the whole farrago is about as scary as a box of tissues. Final Grade: D

This is straight out of the jump-out-and-scare-you school of horror. It has a creep factor, what with the dummy and all, but overall, it can't save this run-of-the-mill horror movie. |

I was kind of hoping this would turn out to be a modern "Child's Play" film, but it was a letdown. Overall, the film was okay even though certain parts dragged on and were tedious. The film's eerie atmosphere saved this film in many levels. If you're easily scared but feeling daring to watch a horror film, rent this one. It won't keep you awake at night. |
