It's not quite as good as say Elizabeth (1998) or even as good as the later historical romance Casanova (2005). But 'Dangerous Beauty' is a lusty and lighthearted biographical film that showcases Catherine McCormack's underutilized charm and talent. It's a shame she seems to have been pushed by the wayside.

It was the power that this woman had over her "clients" that was so amazing. Even though she was essentially an "untouchable" in the societal caste system she surely held her own and had a lot of pride. There was also a pretty decent story behind this.
