Swinging with the Finkels is a film that only runs for 85 minutes, including credits. However, each minute is an exercise in futility. This film can't decide whether it wants to be a conservative plea for traditional monogamous marriage or a screwball sex comedy, ultimately it fails in both respects due to a poorly written screenplay and being just plain boring. Mandy Moore is shaping up to be one of the worst actresses of her generation, continuously appearing in terrible rom-coms such as this one. There is no depth to her acting in this film despite her playing similar characters in License to Wed and Love, Wedding, Marriage.

Swinging with the Finkels focuses on an Englishman Alvin Finkel (Martin Freeman) and his American wife Ellie (Mandy Moore) who live in London, and after a 9 year marriage the heady sparks of lust and fun have sadly faded and they're left with the day to day normality of their everyday life. When their f...
