One of my favorite apocalypse movies. It is entertaining, funny and original. The acting is decent and the idea around it is presented in a way that makes you believe it is possible. I am not saying that the Earth's core could stop moving but I am not a scientist and if they think that only a series of underground nuclear explosions could jump start it then who am I to doubt it. They explained why it would work and the technology behind it and that is good enough for me.
DJ Qualls' character was really funny and reminded me a lot of many of the computer 'geek' friends that I have that think they are bad ass because they know computers.
All I can say is check this one out if you like apocalypse movies.
