Oh god this movie hurt. It had this kick about making the characters use their eyes to convey most of the meaning- and it worked. You could feel everything, the pleading, the anger, the hopelessness, the forgiveness...It was beautiful, although most of the teen actors and actresses left much to be desired.

A good drama about an illegal immigrant father trying to make a better life for his son. This low budget drama that emphasizes family relationships is powered by an Oscar nominated performance by Demian Bechir. The story is a little predictable and you can sense pretty early on what's going to happen and where the film is going, but overall it's a good watch for the performances and the story.
