I can see where this was trying to go, but it never really got there. It putters along, providing maybe a chuckle, but that's about it. I would consider this a pretty low point for all involved.

Goofy and enjoyable

There is a gentle, harmless quality to the crudeness and sometimes it borders on hysterical, although Akermin's character is an unnecessary distraction and some of the jokes fall flat on their face; still, it's goofy and enjoyable if you catch it in the right frame of mind, and the enthusiastic performances will fondly remind one of Dumb and Dumber. Best moments include a "short" airplane message and just about everything involving Chi McBride. Final Grade: B-

Funny (but not memorable)

The humor in this is reminicent of Dumb and Dumber. There's two book smart but socialy inept brothers who are just trying to do right, but make some dumb moves along the way, which is all you need to know in terms of story. The rest of the film is just some really funny performances from our SNL stars. The funny secretes out of Will Arnet's pores, so that just watching his facial expressions is laugh enducing. This is in no means a perfect comedy, because unfortunately, there are a few slow scenes and some jokes that don't work as well. Still, this is great for a good time with a friend, even if it won't be that memorable a year from now.
