Two friends to the end cross the United States when they encounter an alien named Paul near Area 51 - the alien decides to join them and the trio plot a course back to his mother ship. This movie was enjoyable to watch and it's got a lot of jokes to laugh at.

What a great cast! This movie was awesome and has a very nostalgic feel to it. It has the cross-country road trip aspect, comic book references, aliens,drinking, buddy-movie aspect. It is a lot of fun. Pegg again, proves his awesomeness.

Absolutly amazing movie, great laughs to be had with the whole family by watching this movie ! So hilariously funny ! Also makes you feel better when ill ! :D

Hier kommt einer dieser Filme, die phasenweise wunderbar funktionieren, aber auch ein bisschen ihr Ziel verfehlen. Ist da etwas schief gegangen? Ich kann es wirklich nicht sagen, denn man erkennt immer noch, wie es hätte werden können. Paul ist ein Alien, dass nicht nur klingt wie Seth Rogen (schliesslich synchronisiert er Paul) - Paul ist Seth Rogen! Ein Slacker aus dem All mit dem Kopf einer Glühbirne und grossen Glubschaugen! Hier die wunderbare Ausgangsposition: Graeme und Clive (Simon Pegg und Nick Frost) spielen zwei Geeks unterwegs im Wohnmobil. Zwei Nerds aus England auf ihrem ersten Trip nach Amerika. Two English comic book nerds on the road in the American mid west have a close encounter with a stranded alien and decide to help him evade capture by the sinister Men In Black who are pursuing him. The epic ongoing bromance between Simon Pegg and Nick Frost becomes an extra-terrestial menage-a-trois with the addition of Seth Rogen's chain smoking, smart mouthed E.T. in this amusing road movie from the Spaced school. Essentially a homage to John Carpenter's Starman with added dashes of Close Encounters and E.T., Paul has that easy going charm and feel good factor that most American nerd comedies completely miss; there's something much more likeable about a British geek for some reason (maybe it's just because I can relate...) Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are two straight guys who take a long-awaited trip to San Diego for the Comic Con festival. On their way across the country, they encounter a foul-mouthed, smoking alien dude (voiced by Seth Rogan) named Paul who having been used by the government for knowledge (including advising Steven Spielberg on 'E.T') has outlived his usefulness and is looking to get back to his mothership.
Sci-fi fans will get a real kick out of this, as there are a number of references to sci-fi movies, both famous and obscure.
