With Queen Latifah giving the greatest performance in any film in the franchise, this sassy sister film to the "Barbershop" series stands firmly on its own.

Queen Latifa plays Gina, a sassy hair stylist who feels under-appreciated at her job so she opens her own shop after a big argument with her boss Jorge’s (Kevin Bacon, who steals the show as her gay boss with a thick German accent…reminds me somehow of his role in X-Men First Class) Now instead of just an irate boss she has to deal with all the hassles of running a new business - plus being a single parent to her young daughter. Queen Latifa shines as an example to women everywhere on how to pursue your dreams and not give up. Also starring Mena Suvari, Andie MacDowell's and Alicia Silverstone as Shampoo Girl! An entertaining, charming film with lots of humor, guaranteed to make you smile. (Might appeal to ladies only though:)
