Plot Outline:

A morally and emotionally distraught reporter heads to New Hampshire to cover a story on the Challenger launch but is side-tracked by the apparent suicide of a friend and local teacher. Trying to come to grips, he hangs out with a group of dysfunctional students and learns that life lessons can come from the most unlikely of places.
