When they stuck to the main story (a dead on parody of Save the Last Dance), it was classic Wayans family gold... but most of the other jokes in the movie were reminiscent of the recent Friedberg/Seltzer trash. Another parody split down the middle for me, with good jokes on one side and bad ones on the other. However, the main parody of Save the Last Dance is enough for fans of these movies to watch this. There are still many moments of spoofing brilliance here, just not enough to last the whole 80 min. |
