Solid Disney movie. Disney doesn't do much bad, this isn't an exception. One of my favorites as a kid. Can still find the laughs watching now, especially Robin Williams as the Genie

Watched this with someone's kids. Disney spin on classic story. Doubt I'll ever watch it again, but good to pass time and touching in spots.

Disney magic brings the magic of the lamp to life

"Aladdin" (voiced by Scott Weinger) is a homeless person living on the streets of the Arabian city of "Agrabah". He must steal food to survive, and is frowned upon by the shopkeepers. However, he has a heart of gold and will give anything he stole to any one in greater need than he.

One day, he helps a beautiful woman who got herself into some trouble with a local shopkeeper. To his surprise, this woman turns out to be the princess "Jasmine" (voiced Linda Larkin).

Shortly after the royal guards throw "Aladdin" into the dungeon shortly after they find him with the princess, he meets a strange old man who tells him of a magical lamp, hidden for centuries in a magical place called the "Cave of Wonders" that can only be accessed by a "Diamond in the Rough". The two escape from the dun...

Review - Aladdin (1992)

Aladdin (Scott Weinger, Brad Kane singing) was a simple street urchin before he met Princess Jasmine (Linda Larkin, Lea Salonga singing). Now, with the help of a genie (Robin Williams), he is going to try to take down the evil Jafar (Jonathan Freeman) in “Aladdin.”

I still remember going to see this in theaters when I was only four years old, and I loved it back then as much as I love it now. While I don’t think it’s Disney’s greatest work, it’s definitely one of their most unique. The animation and the story are very original, even though the story is based on an old classic. The film is very much its own thing, which works wonderfully.

Unfortunately, this is when Disney started to realize the power of CGI, which they had already used in “The Little Mermaid” and “Beauty and the Bea...
