This Tarzan sequel began introducing some of the sillier elements of the franchise. The elaborate treehouse set is actually impressive to look at. And an elephant powered elevator is a cool bit. It’s not quite as action packed as the first two Weissmuller movies. But the indication that Tarzan and Jane enjoy a healthily sexual relationship remains intact-a daring move for a 1930s release.
