I probably should have watched the anime series first, but I found this film a little convoluted and confusing. The visuals, which imagine a post-apocalyptic battleground of a world, are, of course, impressive.

A more satisfying conclusion to Neon Genesis Evangelion than the TV show. It is still up for interpretation to the viewer. It should be noted the movie contains more adult themes than the TV show, for better or worse.
