Two veteran New York cops work to identify a connection between an old case and a new case and the implications that there may be an inside man. Questions raise amongst themselves to decide if they really put away the right person or if something else has been stirred. Could it be a serial killer?

I was expecting more from De Niro and Pacino - two titans that pretty much sleep-walk through their roles. I though it was a dull affair that tried way too hard without much payoff. |

I wish this film never happened. De Niro and Pacino, once great and adored by millions, and what do they give us in return? This film is hopeless. It extinguishes any respect you may still have for these two. A complete and utter travesty. |

Righteous Kill me now |
|
Righteous Kill is not the Godfather 2. It’s not Heat either. To be honest with you, it’s not even a good movie. But I liked it. Why? Because two of the most influential and greatest actors of all time are side by side on the big screen… for more than 5 minutes. Robert De Niro and Al Pacino. 14 Oscar Nominations. Masters of Method Acting. Kings of the gangster movie genre. Yeah you could say they’re washed up nowadays. They’re not as committed to roles as they have been in the past, their emotional range is limited, and they’ll take an easy paycheck over a gritty indie in a heart-beat. But seeing those two on screen together was not only nostalgic, it was entertaining. Sure the storyline is a giant clusterf*#k, and there are more plot-holes than a Michael Bay movie, but I just loo...

RIghteous Bore |
|
A disheveled cop drama that is no better than the worst episode of any tv cop drama; DeNiro and Pacino sleepwalk through this tired, lifeless genre exercise which has no excitement, suspense or humor and tries to liven things up with one of the most predictable twists ever committed to film; Dennehy is especially wasted as the hard-ass lieutenant, and about the best I can possibly say is that at least no one is ever asked to turn in their badge and gun like all other detective dramas of this ilk. See if you can count how many times DeNiro calls someone a mutt or a dog. Final Grade: D+

Grumpy old men |
|
Predictable and boring are probably the most accurate description of what Righteous Kill is all about. To me it was like watching a bad episode of CSI. It wasn't even close to entertaining having a serial killer who writes poems. Acting was mediocre and the cast was not brilliant as they should. The tandem between Pacino and De Niro was not something to buzz about after all. |

Yeah I agree. It looks like they just made a movie to bring the two back together - this time as friends for the first time. Anyone seen any reviews for it yet? |

The mere plot sounds mediocre at best, certainly unnecessary that Al Pacino AND Robert DeNiro need to both be in the film. Makes me wonder what the true intent is here... |
