I will be honest with you all.... I went into this movie ready to hate on it. But I feel like I didn't need to see it to know it is absolute garbage that should burn for what it has done to the people who watched it. After watching, it fulfilled my expectations.

Just as terribly unfunny as the duo's other so-called 'parodies'. It exists only to keep the stink generating, in the cinematic landfill of terrible movies.

I for one was not a huge fan of the film 300. Maybe it was the thought that it reminded me too much of commercial ads or an MTV video with violence. Anyways, I tried to watch this version instead. There were some hilarious scenes and just comical images based from the said film. Yes this may not be a classic, even mediocre, type of spoof film for some but I doubt it was that atrocious. Maybe some are offended by the mockery, or just didn't like the jokes on the movie. I guess the humor of the film was right for me and it would depend on the persons taste. This fun flick is not for everybody, but you wouldn't be human if you didn't smile or laugh at some of its absurdity.

Where do I begin to describe how awful this dead heap of a film this is. Calling this film a comedy makes "The Hottie and the Nottie" Oscar-worthy. The film has so much cheap comedy and has way too many parodies than it can handle. It has too many parodies that are crammed in every thirty seconds that the movie becomes a total disaster after the first minute and a half. With "Meet the Spartans" I did something I never thought I would ever have to do. I walked out of the theatre and went to see another film. It hurts to admit that, but it needed to be done. With a movie so inane and disgusting like this, I'm surprised others didn't follow me out the door. Definately a "Must Avoid" film!!

Awuuh! Awuuh!

Let me start off by saying Meet the Spartans did a pretty decent job working its comedy into my veins. Although a lot of critics would have loved to just massacre this movie because they’d find it dreadfully unfunny, I on the other hand beg to differ. I knew from the get go what I was going into when the sound of clashing thunder and lightning thrall the beginning of this movie. Awful choice to do a Shrek the third spoof so let me just get that unfunny introduction out the way, and trust me it would be smooth sailing from there on. The idea of spoofing an enormous name such as 300 is not as easy as it sounds. First we have to find someone who looks good in a leather diaper, and has a huge rock solid body. Painted abs check, Leonidas beard check and the most important thing of all is he ha...

Review - Meet the Spartans (2008)

Last year I decided that “Epic Movie” was the most eye-gougingly awful movie in existence. That was true until “Meet the Spartans” came out this year. Now we have a whole new low that I honestly never thought we’d be able to sink to. Here we have a movie that is so staggeringly awful that it’s almost not worth writing a review. I wish I could just put in big bold letters “DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE” and be done with it, but it’s my sworn duty to myself to do this job that I don’t get paid for. Even if I did get paid, it would never be enough to compensate for the suffering watching this movie can be.

I can only guess that the main plot of the movie was a parody of the movie “300,” and by guess, I mean that the narrator tells you right off the bat that you are watching a parody of the movie ...
