Plot: Newly widowed after her soldier husband is killed in Vietnam, pregnant Francesca goes to visit his mother, whom she has never met, in a remote part of Minnesota. Her mother-in-law is less than welcoming, but Francesca is forced to stay for a while when a blizzard snows the family in. She soon begins to learn some unpleasant secrets about her husband's family.
