Plot: After serving a sentence for a murder she didn't commit, Nikki Finn is ordered out of town, but the ex-con won't go until she's cleared her name. Wealthy lawyer Loudon Trott has been sent by his boss to make sure she gets on the bus, but the unpredictable parolee changes the plans. Soon, the two are caught up in a string of adventures and Loudon finds himself torn between the flamboyant Nikki and his uptight fiance.

Madonna goes all-out wackadoodle crazy in this madcap comedy farce. Griffin Dunne tries his best to ground the plot which becomes very manic very quickly. Madonna has a few solid quips but she's hampered by a voice that's too nasally and whiny. John Mills shows up in a random cameo to add some class. It's very noisy and sometimes irritating, but every so often there's a line or a joke that did make me laugh.

After the success of Desperately Seeking Susan (in which she basically played herself), Madonna decided she could act. This tacky and irritating screwball comedy was the first of the many cinematic debacles that resulted.
