This movie intricately creates a world and plot so involving, that every nuance within each frame keeps you captivated until the film ends. The film manages to tonally balance some moments of dark and absurdist comedy that feels like early Jeunet with some more poignant and war-torn moments that reflect decades of Serbian conflict. The period visuals are gorgeously realized and the soundtrack further bolsters what was, for me, a surprise of a film. I didn't expect to like this movie and, instead, I loved it.
