Upon first viewing this 1984 cult classic, I was repulsed, appaled, excited, and thrilled, and a bit heart warmed. It's hard for a film to give me all those reactions! Its idiocy at it's most glorious! Topped off with the decadence of the early 80s. The toxic avenger is a product of the twisted, maniacal, yet brilliant mind of director Lloyd Kaufman. It is to this day one of my favorite movies. I believe Melvin junko I one of the greatest unsung screen heroes in the history of not only cult cinema, but mainstream cinema as well. Bravo Troma, bravo

For those familiar with the Troma films, The Toxic Avenger is the pinnacle of the trashy horror genre. Gruesome, yet hilarious, you will either love this twisted gem or with the filmmakers a quick demise.
