Unpleasant if suspenseful film noir about a detestable womanizer (Young) caught in a deadly web of lies. The final act is one relentless revelation after another. Robert Young is good in the part which is not an easy character to sympathize with but it’s undeniably gripping.

The one racist scene wasn't a big scene. So, it was tolerable. The rest of the movie was excellent! I loved all the great plot twists. It's a wonderful film noir movie.
