Some decent shocks and a creative premise. Other than that, I can't say much to recommend it. The whole movie comes off as well directed schlock.

An early Cronenberg that has bears many of his trademark themes and has some interesting visual ideas, but is otherwise rather dated and cheap looking. It doesn't seem to have any real direction or point, but it's an interesting curiosity nonetheless.
