Plot: Anne Goupil and her brother, Pierre, attend a party in Paris where guests include an expatriate American trying to escape McCarthyism and a theater director with a mysterious woman at his side. It turns out a Spanish activist and mutual friend Juan was recently committed suicide, but other forces are at play. The director, Gerard, is convinced to go along with his play, even though he himself may be a target. Anne decides to join the production, even with the inherent danger it brings.

2/4, 6/10, Paris Belongs to Us is not the best Jacques Rivette movie. But he was just starting out and it's not too bad. His constant theme of theater/life is interesting. It's hard to believe he's kept that theme all these years, but he has!
