"The Earrings of Madame de..." is the cinematic definition of grace, prestige, and beauty. The romance story is as intricate as it is tragic, as it follows a lonely baroness, her husband, her lover, and the pieces of jewelry that bind them together.

The Earrings of Madame De... Danielle Darrieux is a sufficient actress and the plot was mildly amusing. Unfortunately, it didn't do much for me. I had high expectations, though. Eh... Max Ophuls just isn't my favorite though.
