"Madame Curie" is a watchable tribute to a great mind, even though her career is used more as a clothesline for tepid melodrama than to highlight the importance of her discoveries.

Madame Curie is a film that has a few nice moments involving the romance between two scientists, but much of it does not work. This is simply the scenes involving their attempts to discover a new element, are done with absolutely no visual gusto whatsoever. These scenes are done as boringly as possible and this really holds the film back since it otherwise is a nice simple romance.
