So what we have here is the story of a fish (which by now dwarves most whales) that can track individuals half way around the globe to extract it's "revenge" on them. For what, being in the vicinity of a couple of its piscine mates being blown up/electrocuted?? I once saw a stand-up comedian devoting his entire routine to taking the piss out of this film...unintentionally hilarious!!

So laughably awful. Why is Michael Caine in this?

It's hard to top Jaws 3 in sheer lunacy, but they sure up the completely crazy story in this 4th Jaws movie. I don't care if they had some good actors, without a decent story, it's all wasted - just like my time was watching this dreck.

Honestly when this movie came out I was only 10 and I thought that the concept of Jaws was awesome. When I saw this in 87 it was one of the coolest movies ever.
20 years later I have come to realize that what I thought was awesome as a 10 year old may not always hold true. While I believe Michael Caine has made some amazing choices over the last 10 years in deciding what films he should be part of, I can only say that not only did he seem out of place in this movie, but it seems as though he must have done it only under contractual obligation or maybe he just needed another paycheck and this was a quic...
