What holds this film together is the lightning-quick dialogue and how it is delivered by Dunne and Grant. As screwball comedies go, this is near the top of the list.

A pretty funny old timey comedy with Cary Grant doing what you usually see him doing. It is a funny old fashion screwball type that has several different bits that are funny and it really is not all that dated. It is still in fact fairly fresh. A comedy like this is hard to describe too much but watch it, it is enjoyable. Oscar Nominee 3/5 Ralph Bellamy- Bellamy is pretty good as the hapless boyfriend in this movie very similar to the one you see him play later in My Girl Friday. His does not have to much to do actually but I believe he makes the most of the things he has to do.

Jerry and Lucy get a divorce while Aunt Patsy talks about relationships with her. Daniel Leeson (Ralph Bellamy) falls for Lucy and becomes close. Jerry goes out with heiress named Barbara Vance (Molly Lamont). A sister of Jerry, “Lola” crashes in a party of Barbara. Brilliant performances from the cast, notably Irene Dunne.

Screenplay was exceptional with the following lines: Jerry – “You can't have a happy married life if you're always suspicious. No. There can't be any doubts in …
