Plot Outline:
|
Soldier Chris Vaughn returns from an 8-year stint in the special forces to find his home town ruled by corruption and drugs. His former high school friend, now the owner of the corrupt casino, is behind it all.

When Johnny Knoxville is the best actor in the film, you have problems. If you like pointless action flicks, this is one to see, otherwise, stay away. |

Another loud, pointless remake of a film "inspired" by a real person (Buford Pusser) that retains almost none of the original feel (except that two-by-four). The Rock does what he does best, action & kicking butt, but it can't save the film |

|
When Chris Vaughn returns to his small hometown after leaving the army, he is surprised to find to find it changed for the worse. The lumber mill where his father worked and where he wanted to realize a childhood dream of working there has been closed and replaced by a seedy casino and strip club, owned by his boyhood friend Jay Hamilton (Neal McDonough) and is now the main source of revenue for the town. During his first visit he finds his ex-girlfriend Ashley Scott stripping, drugs being sold under the table and a dealer cheating with a loaded dice.
