Millionaire real estate developer George Wade doesn't make a move without Lucy Kelson, his multitasking chief counsel and virtual right arm. But after a year of calling the shots, Lucy is giving her two weeks' notice. It seems Lucy's finally free of George and his 24-hour requests, which included everything from taking care of George's clothing to handling his divorce settlements. But George has other ideas.

This movie strangely feel flat despite having two of the most charming people ever (Bullock and Grant) in it. It must be the writing. |

I'm only reviewing this film, as a warning to all. Its a horribly twee and unfunny movie. If ever you are in a situation where someone asks 'Do you want to watch Two Weeks Notice?'. Just turn, and run. Turn and run. Its a simple procedure which will benefit you in the long run. |

Cute romantic comedy! |
|
Lucy (Sandra Bullock) is a Harvard graduate lawyer, who stands up for various worthy causes, such as protesting against the demolition of historically important buildings. She has stepped on so many toes that she works for a legal aid office without much luck in getting anything she wants until she confronts George Wade (Hugh Grant), the boss of Wade’s Corporation who is about to tear down her favorite community center. Wade takes a liking to her and promises he will not destroy the center but she has to take a job as his chief counsel. Lucy resists the offer at first but her parents (Dana Ivey and Robert Klein) convince her to take it with the possibility that she can do good from the inside.
After working there for over a year Lucy feels she has achieved nothing as Wade quickly comes... |
