Plot Outline:

A rich merchant announces that his young daughter, Bianca, will remain unwed until her older sister, hellish shrew Katharina is wed. While Lucentio poses as a tutor to be close to Biana, another suitor, Hortensio, convinces newly-arrived scoundrel Petruchio to pursue Katharina as a challenge. -- Chris Kavan

A fine adaptation of one of Shakespeare's better plays. It is aware that it is suppose to be funny and it successful enough in a classic way. Both Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor play their roles perfectly and the supporters are all good too.

My dad showed us kids this movie and said all women should be tamed and children too.

This was a really good movie. It was a good adaptaion of one of Shakespeare better stories. Also this stars a young and pretty Elizabeth Taylor.
