A lonely, young millionaire, yearning for a Christmas from his youth, returns home only to find another family occupying the home he grew up in. Offering them hard cash to stay for the holidays, the family agrees, but will how far will they go to celebrate the season? -- Chris Kavan
Seems like a Christmas themed comedy involving family or romance comes at us every year. Most are hit or miss, but this one is neither. It's mildly funny and completely formulaic, but I don't dislike it. Maybe it's cause of the anti family and Christmas attitude that it sustains for at least the first half.
Affleck is a hit and miss kind of actor. He doesn't select his roles the same way that Damon does and it shows. I think the reason this movie gets the rating that it does is not because of Afflek... its because I like Gandalfini. Its a good christmas movie, and its definitly a little out there as far as comedys go, but it's not dreadfully horrible.
