Spy comedy that leans too much into recycling jokes that were only funny the first time. Dean Martin has the right persona for this kind of role but he's not given much to do but quip at the silliness around him. Stella Stevens is drop-dead gorgeous in this but she's annoying.

Dean Martin personifies Donald Hamilton's super-spy Matt Helm, especially in this era of girl-ogling and martini guzzling. "The Silencers" was the first of four Helm adventures, and, while not a classic, it does offer some laughs and colorfully tatty '60's surroundings.
