Summer 2010 Sucks but 2011 Looks Promising

I am very angry at Hollywood right now. There is a load of crappy films that have come out (and are coming out). Shrek 4 - are you serious? Toy Story 3...please. Sex and the City 2 (40 year old hags looking to make a buck). Yeah, these do have an auidence and many people are looking forward to them but you all know that deep down, you won't really praise it. Most will come back with 2.5/4 stars or worse. I'll rant about these films later but needed to get something off my chest.

I did a little digging and 2011 looks to be OK. Here is a link to a list of comic book type movies set to release next year.

2011 Movies

Thor, Captain America, Rise of the Apes, and Cowboys and Aliens (Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig = Amazing) are on the list. That means some originality (yet familiar) flicks are coming. Maybe 2011 will be an amazing year.

One thing is for sure, 2010 sucks. Here's hoping that Inception will blow us away.

I half agree about 2010. Yes, there are some cash-in sequels and some not very appealing movies, that I will not be seeing... but there are some shining spots of originality and/or awesomeness like: Splice, Jonah Hex, The Last Airbender, Predators, Inception, Salt, Dinner for Schmucks, The Other Guys, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, The Expendables, and Machete (whenever the hell that DOES come out). Okay, so maybe only about 3 of those movies are actually "original", but come on. Predators, The Expendables, and Machete definitely rank high on any guy's awesome meter. I know I'm pumped to see those 3!
