The Secret Life of Pets and More in This Week's MPAA Rating's Bulletin

While the list is long this week, the sad truth is there is just the one major wide release in this week's update. The good news is it looks like one of the more enjoyable films coming out this year. Disney has already graced us with Zootopia and Pixar has Finding Dory coming up - but I really like the look of The Secret Lives of Pets. It's hard to say if Universal Pictures will have the same success, but the trailers make this one look like a lot of fun. Now I can only hope that the comings week's provide a bit more content.

You know what really stands out about The Secret Life of Pets? It has to be voices! Keven Hart, Louis C.K., Steve Coogan, Ellie Kemper, Albert Brooks, Jenny Slate and Eric Stonestreet. Okay, I think that sounds like the most random lineup ever, but I'm willing to give it a shot. If you haven't seen the trailer yet - get on it. It really does look entertaining. I don't know if it's going to go any deeper than the fun stuff - but I hope this is one of those that the adults can enjoy just as much as the kids. Or maybe I'll be disappointed and all the good stuff is in the trailer. Either way, you're looking at a standard PG for action and some rude humor.

That's the only big announcement, but here is the rest of the MPAA Rating Bulletin:

AMERICAN PASTORAL

Rated R for some strong sexual material, language and brief violent images.
