An accurate portrayal of the huge influx of latino immigrants and cocaine in Florida. Tony Montana, (Al Pacino) comes to America and wastes no time finding work. He begins working for a drug kingpin, and quickly rises to a status which rivals that of his boss. Tony sees this and so does the man he answers to. After a failed murder attempt, Tony knows his boss won't step aside quietly and handles the problem his own violent way. But TM soon sees, between the other drug gangs, crooked cops, the drugs, his mother and sisters conflicting opinions of his lifestyle, that being on top is pretty taxing mentally and physically. He soon succumbs to his weaknesses and goes down blazing. SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND!!! A badass movie!

After 24 years of life, I finally sat through Scarface from beginning to end. I was pleasantly surprised by it. Going into this movie I thought I was going to have to sit through and an hour an a half of boring rising to the top scenes and then finish off the last half hour with obnoxious gunfights and catchphrase quotes. However, Scarface did a good job of keeping an interesting plot and good, not too over the top action scene. Pacino was good, which goes without saying. I didn't give this four stars, but I don't know what could be done to make it better. Though I do think that for the type of movie it is, it is one of the best ever made of its kind.

It's a pretty good movie, except that the ending is kinda dull compared to the rest of the movie. But, all in all, not a bad flick.

I don't care if people think this is over rated. It's not. I don't think anyone ever said it was a great movie, it's just that tons of people love it. Rags to riches at it's grimiest best. It appeals to people who don't have it all. It's motivational (and not in a "go sell drugs" way) It says go, if you want something, take it. It's not going to take you. There are some cheesy over the top parts, but come on, you seen any 80's movies?

Probably the most over rated movie ever that is just plain bad. Engaging for about the first half hour and then over the top ridiculous for the last 2 and a half. Al Pacinos worst performance set to one of the worst scores in movie history. How this movie has the fan base it does I will never understand.

This movie is overrated :) While i did enjoy it to a point it didn't do anything extraordinary for me (not even Pacinos good acting) and i wouldn't even bother with the original since i never liked Howard Hawks. American cinema mostly just doesnt click with me. Too many overhyped movies and directors out there...

This movie is amazing. I almost counted the F words but I obviously could not keep up the pace.

Alex is wrong. This movie is great because it shows its age. A window into the biggest drug portal in the US at its height. Despite its length its a great multi-viewer. Al Pacino's best work. He's so good in this, you'll even want to see Carlito's Way, which, unfortunately is not nearly as good.

A decent criminal caper, if not the masterpiece rappers will have you believe it is. Still, Al Pacino looks like he's having a great time, and it's pretty much worth it to watch that final shoot-out.
