Extremely average heist/spy thriller with very little character development. Has some decent chase scenes which elevate the film somewhat.

Absolutely boring and generic spy thriller. I predicted every plot twist and nothing at all surprised or amazed me. Yawn.

Former special forces soldiers and intelligence operatives—Spence (Sean Bean), Larry (Skipp Sudduth), Gregor (Stellan Skarsgård), Vincent (Jean Reno), and Sam (Robert De Niro) are tasked to steal a mysterious briefcase. Much like Pulp Fiction, the contents of the case were never revealed except to Seamus O'Rourke (Jonathan Pryce). The plot can be confusing but the action never ceases. Ronin boasts great car chases, CIA, Russian mobs and friendship among its figures.

Spies, terrorists, Europeans, treachery, friendship. Great car chases. This one really can be watched repeatedly.

One of Robert DeNiro's last "serious" films before he would appear in anything and everything. Frankenheimer mishandles some of the dramatic material making it a bit talky, but the action is superb. The minutes long insane car chase should be viewed by any action movie lover.

I remember kinda liking this movie. Although, I don't remember De Niro being in it at all. lol.
