A movie that really shows it's age. I didn't see it when it came out, and honestly kind of forgotten about it until I watched it last night. I'm sure at the time it was pretty huge and entertaining. Today, however, it's a bit painful to watch, but as long as you don't take it too seriously and remember the time it was created, you'll probably still be able to enjoy some of it.

An ultimate relic of the 80s... so cheesy and cornball, yet I can't help feel a bit of nostalgia for it. It's not a great movie, but for its time it was perfect. It won't hold up to my memories, but I would classify it as so bad its good.

Hey porkchop, have you seen this movie more than that one time when you where like 12? This is one of those movies that, although you maybe thought it was cool when you were a kid, you see again and can't believe you liked it. It is painful to watch now. A good contrast is this with Goonies--you watched that movie all the time as a kid but its still watchable now, despite a little 80's cheesiness. Red Dawn makes you vomit.

I can't say enough good things about this movie. The acting, story, and action is all great. It's one of those movies that really makes you think what would really happen if a enemy invaded our country and what would you do. Maybe Patrick Swayze isn't the best person to help us with those decisions, but who knows!
