The Phantom seems to be a hated movie; I don't understand why though. The movie is a bit campy and silly, but there is an interesting story, good action, and very entertaining scenes. The movie is not perfect, but I would actually say that it is one of the better superhero films. If you're not sure what to expect, imagine an Indiana Jones movie mixed with the old 60s Batman show. The good action and acting make The Phantom a enjoyable movie, if you want something light and fun. It is the only superhero movie with a "completely wholesome hero" (A hero that is light hearted and completely a good guy.) that I can honestly say that I like. My advice is to watch the trailer and see if it's appealing to you.

Whether you find it camp, or not, there is some fun to be had with this one. This is a big throwback to the swashbuckling adventures of 40's and 50's films.
