While not outstanding or deep, "Over the Hedge" is likably wacky and has so many fun characters who would be nice to see again, it's kind of a shame we never got a sequel.

Very enjoyable with some great character performances. Although the plot isn't that original, the character nuances are above average for an animated film and there's a lot of in-joke-type humor that I really enjoyed.

An enjoyable with likable characters, but it teaches some iffy messages to youngsters (like that stealing is okay); Steve Carell as a speedy squirrel and Wanda Sykes as a lovesick skunk get the biggest laughs in this mostly infectious toon. Final Grade: B

Actually, much better than I had anticipated. It moves at a brisk and hearty pace - has some excellent animation, top-notch voice acting and is seriously funny in parts. It may not be the best animated feature, but it is fun.
