The point behind most of the jokes here deal with the fact that the main character has poor eyesight. You can imagine how old this gets, with what is essentially the same gag being repeated in various forms. None of these gags work, because they come off as routine slapstick and are setup poorly (including some awful music/sound fx cues).

Leslie Nielsen, the king of overacting, overacts to the hilt in this thin and mostly stupid adaptation of the cartoon character. Nothing fun or funny about it.
