An arresting drama of abandonment and humiliation at the expense of naivety and trust made all the more effective by Akinshina's brave, charismatic performance; Moodyssen tries to add some hope to the bleakness in his final scenes, though they don't quite achieve his intended reflection. Still, quite powerful. Final Grade: B+
