It's 1850, and the people of California, eager to improve their difficult lot in life, have launched a campaign to become part of the United States. This movie has enjoyable action but this movie has some really stupid characters that mostly die and I think the first movie should have been called the legend of Zorro and this movie should have been the mask of Zorro.

Average action film equals an average sequel - there's nothing wrong with this film, but nothing truly stands out either. Zorro is a classic character, but I don't know if he fared so well with modern audiences. I don't have very much recollection, so obviously it didn't make much of an impact on me.

Somewhat generic sequel to The Mask of Zorro which manages to incorporate some rousing action sequences, though the presence of Anthony Hopkins is sorely missed in this outing and the villains are disappointing. Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta-Jones seem to missing the zip they once had together. Final Grade: C+
